Италия: Фриули-Венеция-Джулия -  новости на зимнего сезона 2017 года.

An adrenalin-filled, educational or relaxing winter, on skis or off, in the 5 ski areas and in the Alpine and Dolomite resorts

On the ski run, down in the valley, immersed in the forests of ancient fir trees, at dusk or during the night; there are so many winter activities that mountain enthusiasts can enjoy in the ski areas and mountain resorts in Friuli Venezia Giulia. The slopes in Tarvisio and Sella Nevea, passing through Sauris, Forni di Sopra, Forni Avoltri and Ravascletto/Zoncolan, as far as Piancavallo, are already open and offer a wide range of activities on skis or off, for a holiday full of fun and emotions, yet also affordable, thanks to the upgraded ski bus services, unchanged ski pass rates and free runs for all children under 10 and for the over-75s. In addition, this year, the opportunities are even greater, thanks to the reconfirmation of agreements with Sappada, in Veneto, and the reopening of the cross-border link with Bovec, in Slovenia (from Sella Nevea). Friuli Venezia Giulia, border region par excellence, offers the possibility of a skiing experience sans frontières.

Ski passes for all requirements and children go free
For all ski enthusiasts, the ski areas in Friuli Venezia Giulia are practical and affordable, thanks to the unchanged ski pass rates and the option of choosing the pass duration based on available time: the daily pass, the sci@ore (reduced-price daily pass, valid for 3 to 5 hours and only in the resort of issue) and the sci@sempre, an block of hours to be used as preferred throughout the holiday. There are reduced rates for young people, seniors and Italian and foreign students enrolled at any European university; whilst, for the over-75s and under-10s, the ski pass is totally free.

More than just skiing: bikes, helicopters, sledges and paragliders
There are various adrenalin-filled, educational or relaxing activities offered in the different ski resorts of Friuli Venezia Giulia and at the foot of the mountains. Starting with Sella Nevea, there is a Heliski service to complete the main freeride activity, offering the possibility of short transfers to reach powder-filled slopes, ridges and gulleys; at the lakes of Fusine di Tarvisio, you can experience the exhilaration of driving a dog-pulled sledge with the Ararad International Sleddog School. In Carnia, amidst the snowy peaks of the Coglians mountain range, there are organised beginners courses for adults and children over 10 in Nordic skiing - at the Laghetti Timau Cross-country Skiing Centre in Paluzza – and biathlon – at the Biathlon Centre in Forni Avoltri; whilst, on Monte Zoncolan, you can learn telemark skiing through courses organised by the Sky Academy and Carnia Ski School. The activities continue after nightfall, with snow biking, from 6 to 8 pm every Saturday, around the illuminated cross-country circuit of Forni di Sopra, organised by Ecomotion, or Alpine skiing excursions accompanied by guides under the light of the full moon. For those who love the colours of the first light of day, the Friulian Dolomites Park organises spellbinding dawn nature walks. And for those who would like to do something more artistic, in Sauris, there are courses in intaglio, sculpting and mask-making, in which you can create your own version of the famous carnival masks or simply as souvenir to take home in memory of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
There are also various activities for children, such as riding lessons and pony trekking in the snow, organised by the Randis agri-tourism in Piani d’Arta, and the entertaining bobsleigh on wheels in Piancavallo and Tarvisio.
For those thrill-seekers wanting an unforgettable experience, Volere e Volare organises free flights in tandem paragliders in Meduno at the weekend, to enjoy a breath-taking view of the whole region.
Finally, repeated again this year and with some new events, the programmes of the winter calendar “Vivi la natura delle Alpi Carniche, Giulie e delle Dolomiti” (Experience the nature of the Carnic and Julian Alps and the Dolomites) and the calendar of guided tours along the paths of the Great War are underway, both organised by PromoTurismoFVG.

New snowshoe and trekking routes
The routes of the Forest Sound Track, the Wild Track and the Animalborghetto are enchanting, invigorating and fairy-tale trips through the woods of Val Saisera in Malborghetto-Valbruna. For the Forest Sound Track in discovery of the fascinating art of the luthier, you set off from the centre of Valbruna, or from the woods of Prati Oitzinger, and follow a 5.5 km path around the Julian Alps, leading to the welcoming landscape of the “green giants”, the majestic spruce pines that conceal musical instruments, such as violins, violas, cellos, guitars, harpsichords, pianos and more. The paths are fully signposted with different illustrated signs describing the characteristics of the trees and the complex art of the luthier. From the same departure point and on interwoven paths, hikers can choose to take the 11 km Wild Track using Nordic walking equipment or on snowshoes, fat bike or even on horseback. This route winds its way through ancient woods and forests, along the riverbed and beside the cross-country skiing runs. Amidst the fronds of the firs, you can also find Animalborghetto, an art park with educational nature walks for children and families, in discovery of the fauna that inhabits the Valcanale woods. The route is dotted with wild animals produced and painted by local artists and follows an ancient disused track as far as the little church of Calvary.

Events
During this winter season, the mountains of Friuli Venezia Giulia form the stage for some important international events. Tarvisio has hosted several editions of the Women’s World Skiing Championships, but in these days till 31st January, for the first time, it welcomes the World Para Alpine Skiing Championships. Piancavallo will also host a top level sports event from 23 February to 2 March, welcoming the finest 200 Alpine skiing athletes from 15 different countries to compete in the World Alpine Skiing Championships. Operating in all the skiing complexes, however, there is the event hotly anticipated by the little ones: Winx Magic Ski. Open to all children enrolling for the first time on a ski course in one of the approved schools in Friuli Venezia Giulia or Sappada, this competition will select future talent in Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and snowboarding to take part in the Regional Final of the Gran Premio Giovanissimi (Children’s Grand Prix) on Wednesday 1 March in Piancavallo. Winx Magic Ski gives all children the opportunity to get involved in different fun Winx-themed activities. Finally, in addition to the free ski pass for under-10s, competition participants will see their free access extended to include children up to 12.
