London receives record number of international visits
London welcomed a record 14 million international visits in the first 9 months of 2016, according to new International Passenger Survey figures. Separate analysis from Forward Keys forecasts that in the first three months of 2017, travel agent bookings from American and Chinese tourists will increase 25% and 40% respectively.
Three months to go: Tall Ships Regatta
From 13-16 April, a fleet of Tall Ships will arrive in London for the start of the Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta- a visual maritime feast that will see dozens of majestic Tall Ships set sail for Quebec in Canada from the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
American history and culture will be at the forefront of a series of world class exhibitions at the British Museum, the Royal Academy of Arts and Tate Modern.
Eurostar launches new interrail fare
Eurostar has joined Eurail group G.I.E to launch their new simpler, lower fare. Cross-Channel fares cost from £23 one-way with an Interrail Pass. Interrail Passes are available from three days to one month for youths, over 60s and families.
