Congress Park Hanau (CPH) The CPH was built with sustainability in mind – socially, ecologically and economically. Hanau’s leading congress and conference centre recently secured its fifth straight “Green Globe” environmental certification. Having been awarded this certification in the “Convention Centres” category for a fifth time, the CPU has now officially achieved “Gold” status. The Green Globe organisation examines in regular intervals whether predetermined sustainability standards are adhered to. The CPH’s degree of sustainability is particularly high. It relies singularly on HanauNaturale electricity, which is produced using only regenerative sources. Comparatively simple measures, such as the use of recycled paper and carbon-neutral print products also play a role in the certification process. The CPH’s unique selling propositions are its local ties and social involvement. For example, a series entitled “Art at the CPH” has been giving artists from Hanau and its surroundings a presentation platform in the building’s southern-facing foyer for some 12 years.
